Sometimes, love
touches a poet so
deeply, it becomes
the very air that she
breathes, the water
that quenches her
thirst only existing
in her lover's kiss,
her sleep only
complete when she lies
in her lover's arms.  
Every word she
writes becomes an
ode to her lover, to
the essence of their
love, to the hope
their love brings to
her.  This page is
dedicated to you, my
one true love.  
You know who you
are and how
deeply you are loved
and always will be.

This world is such a crazy place
Running to our deaths in this rat race
It's hard to believe in a world so cold
That God created the flowers I hold.

I close my eyes, drift into you
I close my eyes, no longer blue
So hard to believe I have a love so true
Your love lifts me up, makes life brand new

As I look up into the sky so black
It's only your arms holding me that I lack
But as I look at the starlight bright
I remember Who created each star's light

Your arms hold me, as I drift to sleep
My dreams of you, close in my heart I keep

And as I walk through this field
As I sing to you so loud
Even though I cannot kiss you, this love
This love for you has been sealed

Cuz when I close my eyes, I drift into you
When I hear your voice, I hear your love so true
And when I close my eyes, I'm no longer blue

But eyes open or shut I love you
Eyes open or shut I feel you
Arms wide open for your tender embrace
You see my love each night on my sleeping face

So close your eyes, drift into me
Close your eyes and feel what will be
Open your heart and never let love go
Hold my heart and hand while I love you so
